FAQs
Everything below is exactly how we’d answer it on the phone.
We’re based in West Sussex and cover the whole county, plus east Hampshire, much of Surrey and the surrounding areas — roughly an hour’s drive from home. We travel further for larger projects. Send us your postcode and we’ll tell you straight away whether we cover you.
Yes. All our driveways, patios, paving, walls and landscaping work is guaranteed for five years from completion, covering defects in our workmanship. It doesn’t cover fair wear and tear, damage caused by others, or extreme weather — full terms are on our terms and conditions page.
Yes, we hold public liability insurance cover of £5,000,000 for the duration of every project, and we’re happy to send a copy of our certificate before work starts.
Call, WhatsApp, text or use our contact form and we’ll arrange a free, no-obligation site visit to measure up and give you a fixed written price. If you’d rather not wait for a visit, send a few photos, your measurements and your postcode and we can usually give you a guide price the same day — see our guide price page for what to send.
It depends on the size, the surface you choose (tarmac, block paving, resin or natural stone all price differently) and site conditions such as access, levels and drainage. The quickest way to get a realistic figure is to send photos and measurements for a free guide price, followed by a fixed written quote after a site visit — there’s never any obligation.
For jobs under £10,000 we ask for a 50% deposit before work is scheduled and materials are ordered; for jobs of £10,000 or more it’s 25% up front with stage payments as work progresses. The balance is due on completion. Full details are in our terms and conditions.
In England, you generally don’t need planning permission for a new driveway if you use a permeable or porous surface (such as gravel, permeable block paving or a permeable resin system), or if rainwater is directed to a lawn or border rather than the road. For a traditional non-permeable surface, permission is only needed if the new or replacement area is 5 square metres or more. These rules apply to houses rather than flats, and can be affected by local conditions, so it’s worth checking with your council if you’re unsure — we’re also happy to talk it through at your quote visit.
Yes — NHS staff get 10% off labour costs (valid photo ID or a staff badge shown in person), and we pay £100 cash back for successful referrals. See our current offers page for full terms and the current end date.
Yes. Alongside full installations we also carry out driveway repairs and overlays, and lift and relay sunken or spreading block paving on a properly reinstated base, reusing the original blocks wherever possible.
Yes — we are a member of Checkatrade.
Give us a ring or send it over — we’re happy to talk through anything that’s not covered here, free and with no obligation.
